XPS13, InstantGo, Hibernate and Energy Savings Options

XPS13, purchased a week ago.

Does this device support InstantGo (the Windows help function says ask your vendor).

If yes, what does that mean for the energy savings options? Help says that hibernating might not work for some devices that support instantGo.

I wanted to set the device to hibernate when closing the lid, but cannot check mark the hibernate option in energy settings - actions when closing lid. Only if I activate via the 'certain advanced settings might be disabled' link - which don't dare to do - will hibernate then interfere with InstantGo? Hoowever, apparently I can set to hibernate as the option for energy savings, instead of energy savings mode,  when a certain timer interval has expired.

Is it recommended to hibernate the XPS13 when closing the lid? And/or after a certain timer interval? Or is energy savings mode sufficient? How is this related to InstantGo?

I never understood while companies produce great devices with big effort, like the XPS or OS SW like Windows (great?) - and then fail miserably to clearly and understandably explain its functions.
