disabling the "mediadirect" button

hi all!,

iv'e installed vista buisness on an xps m1210 portable. while formating all of the partitions it came with . ( maybe ive made a mistake but this is the situation..)
and every time i press the "mediadirect" button it deletes the vista file system and an error messege
of "ntldr is missing" is showing on the screen.

i dont have the "mediadirect" cd , nor do i want it- i just want to somehow disable that button ( through bios i guess or any other way)

its like a self distruct button i tell you!!!

thanks allot

Yikes! That's scary. Must be hard wired in the BIOS to do that.

I don't like that button and wish they'd just remove it...especially if deleting off the extra partitions causes it to wipe out Windows!
