help please anyone
inspiron1545, please can someone help me, when i power up my laptop, i get 2 beeps and a black screen, i know theres power going to the lap top as i can hear and feel the fan working plus there is a green light on the dvd writer, does anyone have a clue what i need to do. i have taken battery and ac charger out , held power button for 10 seconds, but still beeps and black screen, (i have also tried the put modesk top monitor lead into laptop , still nothing on my desk top monitor.. )

2 beeps is either a memory error or a memory slot failure. Remove the memory and reseat it and see if your computer will boot. If not try one memory module at a time one slot at a time.

Two Beeps is a diagnostic code on power up.
I forget what it means, but it does mean you have to check/fix something before it will boot up.
*Might want to do a Google search for the two beeps on power up Dell and see what you get. What you need to check can be found...had the same problem with my desktop a couple yrs ago (wolfie)
