intel ich8 peripheral still not recognized in vista
hi, after formatting my studio 1535 i installed vista with the dell original cd, than i downloaded all the drivers needed...but still there is a peripheral not recognized and i'm wondering if it is found on dell support page..
its hardware id in the control panel is ACPI\ITE8708... can you please help?

Did you install the chipset driver?

That device is the IR transmitter. You can grab this "recommended" download from Dell's Support pages:

now i'll try those downloads. actually i watched the driver download page but i didn't installed before the ir drivers because i supposed that i didn't have a ir transmitter (my studio 1535 doesn't have the remote command, so why should it be present?)
