[keyboard] key-press affecting appearing two signs

Since today, when I press keys on keyboard of my notebook (an Inspiron 2200 (1 year old) with winxp) like q, w, e, r and o, on display appears q1,w2,e3, r4, u7, i8, o9, p0.
When I connect a USB-Keyboard it works correctly!
What's wrong? Keyboard seems clean and the keys don't look like they're hanging...

Run the diags, sounds like a faulty keyboard, which will probably need replacing.

I was having a similar problem. My keyboard was switching keys on me...e.g. y pushed backspace and backspace pushed y. We just popped the keyboard out, tapped the dust out (there was a lot, even though I'm very careful with my computer!) and put it back in. Problem fixed. There are pictures and instructions on the Dell website on how to take the keyboard out. You might want to try that before paying for a new keyboard.
