"Please plug in a supported device" error message when I click on webcam ?
I have a DELL Studio 1555 with Windows 7 32 bit Professional OS .It's been pretty great.Only problem is that today I clicked on my webcam as I wanted to use it,and it gives me the above error message.I have NO clue what to do.Please help me find a solution. I really wanna use Skype.
I tried to see the webcam driver updates but i cant find any on the website for the Windows 7 32 bit version .
I also reinstalled my OS but the problem remained the same .
Can anybody help me please ?

Hi xavi5890,
Welcome to the Community,
Go to Device Manager(Control Panel,System,Hardware) and confirm if Webcam is listed under Imaging Devices.
After reinstalling Windows did you install the drivers in the correct order?
Refer to this link to install the drivers in the correct order : support.dell.com/.../document
If Webcam is listed in Device Manger install Webcam Central using this ftp link below :
ftp.dell.com/.../Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam%20SW%20RC1.1_%20R230103.exe

Thanks For the Reply .
I have checked in the Device Manager , But i didn't find the Webcam under Imaging devices .
I am also attaching screenshot of the device manager and Webcam central .Please help me .

Hi Xavi,
Go to BIOS (Tap F2 on start up),press F9 to load defaults,press F10 to save and exit.After system reboots check if the Webcam gets detected.
If it still does not pick up the Webcam,uninstall Webcam Central (go to Control Panel,Programs and Features),select Webcam Central,Uninstall.
Reboot the system and reinstall Webcam Central using the download link from my earlier post.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi nurashikin,
Please share more details regarding the issue you are facing on the computer. Are you facing issues with the webcam? Please reply with the steps you have already tried.
Reboot refers to restarting the system. You may shut down the computer and start it manually or else you may also click on Start and select Restart to reboot the computer (if using Windows 7 OS). For more information on rebooting the computer, you may refer to the article Here.
Please reply with the findings. Will take it further from there.
