short in port!!!!!!!!!!

got a short in head phone jack,have to wiggle cord around to get to sound right.Is is possible to fix this with out taking it to serviced?

On most models, no - the port is part of the system board.
What model system is it?

It's part of the system board, so you're going to have to have the system repaired.
