ssd on latitude d531
I've got an old dell latitude d531.
I would like to install a SSD into it which earlyer had performed in a desktop. (Samsung 840EVO 250GB)
I backupped the original disk to the ssd and installed it into the laptop.
It fitted fine, but the laptop will not start up. It does not see a hard drive.
I tried to find adjustments in the bios, but can't find one.
Anyone has an idea how to get it working?

The newer drives are thinner (7 mm) than the older drives (10 mm) and you'll need a spacer to seat them:
