startup repair for window 7 repairing disk errors 11hours

Latitude E6430 window 7

startup repair working 11hours and they said repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete. Still the blue bar is moving. Do I need to wait to complete? or power off?

Please advise me.

If it hasn't succeeded yet, it's not going to -- restart the system, press F12 and boot to the Dell diagnostics -- run an extended hard drive test.  You'll likely find you have a bad drive.

I did Dell diagnostics. I got the Error Code 2000-0142 and Validation 78997.

Please tell me the next step.

The hard drive has failed -- it will need to be replaced.  You'll need a standard SATA notebook drive (2.5") -- can be a hard drive, hybrid drive or a solid state drive.

You'll also need the recovery media you made when you received the system to reload the operating system once the dead drive is replaced.
