Hi,
I found the same issue with my inspiron n 5010. In beginning, my touch pad was working fine. After some time, i found problem with touchpad and it was not working properly. The whole screen was getting disturbed, when i was moving mouse. Also, my toucpad disable key was not working. So I googled and found that I have to download synaptic touchpad Driver. I downloaded that from Dell.com . Again, when i tried to update driver, it was not taking synaptic driver directly, then I forcefully installed that. My tochpad started working properly and even disable key was working fine. But when i restarted my laptop, it went back to the previous situation. For few time, i installed the drivers and it use to work for some time and again went back to previous situation where device manager shows HID insted of syanptic and now the touchpad stopped working completely. Can any one help me with this?
