video card XPS M1710

Presently I have a non working Nvidia 7900 GS 256MB video card in my XPS M1710.

My question is what other video card options do I have. Which give longer life and good performance since this card and several others have experienced so many problems Or what part no of the cards that where made after the problems where solved . I have read where the E1705 laptop cards will work in this laptop.

I do not want to make any mods to laptop to accomadate any card!

Will the power requirements be the same or would I have change power supply?

The laptop is not used for avid gaming.

The laptop is used for internet, e-mail, photo viewing some editing, scanning and home financial, etc.

Any imput, suggestions, recommendations or comments would be appreciated.
