what is the fastest processor I can put in an inspiron 1525 with a M353G motherboard
what is the fastest processor I can put in an inspiron 1525 with a M353G motherboard. I have a 1.7Ghz Core 2 Duo in my laptop but I am thinking about upgrading to maybe an Intel t8300 or a t9300. Is this just a pipe dream or can I pull it off with my current motherboard? What I would really love to do is put an Intell Quad core into it but I doubt the board could support it.

Either the T8300 or T9300 will work. No, you can't use a moble Core 2 Quad. I'd be wary of spending a lot on a CPU upgrade - the faster the CPU gets, the more apparent the video deficiencies of the system will become, and while you can replace the CPU, you cannot do anything about the weak onboard video - it cannot be upgraded in any way. Putting a fast CPU in a 1525 is something like putting a V8 engine in a Hyundai Accent - it'll still be a budget car with fast engine.
