Audio automatically decreases when in C dock 2
I have a problem with a latitude CPX in a dell C dock 2. When the Laptop is undocked the volume is fine, but whenever you place it in a docking station of any type the volume automatically decreases to Zero with 10 seconds. I have undocked and removed the profile in Hardwear profiles and re inserted into dock but to no avail.
checked all settings in Volume advanced and all are ok.
HELP!!

I too have the same problem
Dell Lattitude CPx H 450 GT FHSSI
Dock Lattitued C/Port II WZZFT
I just downloaded and updated my audo drivers to ESS Maestro 2E , v. 5.12.01.2066, A06
still my volume falls to zero when docked
This is with Windows 2000

Our IT engineer has been through this problem where many hours were spent attepting to pull the appropiate driver.
My laptop Lattitude Cpx H 450GT has the ESS Maestro 2E.
The source for the driver that fixed the problem for my laptop was here

The drivers at www.esstech.com have completely remedied my problem after several attempt to reload the drivers Dell recomends.
I would suggest Dell refer to this same web site, OR run through a Test cycle, and post the drivers themselves. I am DONE trying to load drivers that don't solve the problem.
I believe similar issues reporting identicle behavior has also been posted regarding the Dimension Laptop.
