Battery types for Dell Vostro 1015 PP37L
Hello everyone,
My name is Alex and I am in France.
I have an old Dell Vostro 1015 type PP37L.
The battery is dead and I want to replace it.
I can see there is lot of batteries types with different capacity, my old one is a small one and is labelled 14,8V . I would replace this old one by a 11,1V with bigger capacity but I don't know if it is compatible.
When I go to the spare parts, I can't find if the 11,1V is compatible and could replace the old 14,8V installed.
Can you help me to be sure there will be no problem if I buy the 11,1V battery to replace the 14,8V ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Alex

Hello everyone,
As I had no new answer from the specialists, I have tried the 11.1V battery myself.
The answer is YES, fully compatible with the old 14.8V one, the capacity is also greater and the full charging time is not so long (an half hour from 40%).
Without activity, the remaining time is more than 5 hours.
So, if some people are wondering as I was doing if the battery labeled 11.1V can replace the old one 14.8V, now we know, it is ok (I am typing this text using the new battery fully charged).
This is the end of the story.

Hello again,
when I have a look to the link http://dell.to/1KJJNWu , on the picture I can see 11,1V.
In your last post, you didn't really answer to my question (is the 11,1V version is compatible with 14,8V ?).
I can't find anywhere an information about that !
So, do I have to understand your answer is a "yes" ?
Please confirm, thanks,
Alex
