Cannot log onto my Inspiron 6000
When I try I get an error message saying Windows cannot log on to my locally stored profile, I may have a corrupt file. How can I fix this?

Did you try logging into Windows Safe Mode? Hit F8 as the system powers up, before Windows itself begins to load.

Also run the extended (NOT just the quick ) hard drive diagnostics -- the most common cause of the problem is bad sectors on the hard drive (meaning the drive needs to be replaced).
