Cold weather and a laptop

I have an Inspiron 5150.  I live in Wisconsin and like to ride my bike to work, sometimes in temperatures between 0 and 20 fahrenheit.  I have a dell nylon backpack carrying case.  It takes me less than 30 minutes to bike to work.  Is this bad for my laptop, and if so, how bad?  Is condensation a problem?  If so, is there any way I can safely take my laptop to and from work?  I suppose each component of the laptop has its own individual set of temperature-related issues.  Any information would be greatly appreciated

Dell told me this:

Operating Temperature:

0° to 35°C (32° to 95°F)

Storage Temperature:

?40° to 65°C (?40° to 149°F)

But it's not as if it's going to be stored outside with no protection.  What protection do you think the carrying case offers?

You are right, that does help!  Thanks a lot.  I don't know why the -40 showed up as a ?40 in the email I got from dell.
