Connecting Dell Laptop to Canon Printer
Hello
I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop and Canon Pixma MG5450 printer. The wireless internet card on the laptop has failed. I am waiting to receive a replacement card. Prior to the card's failure I had a fully functional wireless connection between the laptop and printer. Last night, with no wireless card, I tried to print something using a cable connection between the two items of hardware. However, despite trying to find an answer for over two hours, I could not get the laptop to recognise the printer (or vice versa). I even removed and then reloaded the printer driver with the laptop and printer connected. Can anyone help me? How do I get the laptop to communicate with the printer using a connection cable?
I would really appreciate some help.
Thank you.

George,
Are you still having problems with your printer?
If yes, what virus program and firewall are you using?
What operating system is on the Inspiron 1520?
