Dell Inspiron 1420 S Video output issues
I have a 3-4 years old Inspiron 1420 laptop with 256 MB nVidia graphics card and s video output. While taking in laptop, I was happy to get a laptop with 7 pin S Video output, so I can connect it to TV, but somehow I never tried to hook that to TV and see if that works. Few days back for trial I have ordered a 7 pin S-Video to 3RCA cable to try and see if I can get output on TV.
I connected svideo output to cable and attached the 3 RCA cables to TV as per color code yellow, white and Red, went into control panel, tried setting up multiple display from display setting, nvidia control panel, windows mobility center but didn't get the output. I read lot of forum posts but can't got any solution. I came to know that people were trying wrong cables and got it working after using the SVideo to 3 RCA cable, I got that but still can't get that working.
I tried to hookup laptop with TV to check if the laptop detects the external display but it didn't. I am attaching picture of the cable I got, so I can get input that I am using the right cable.
Any help to get the SVideo output is highly appreciated.
