How do I hook up my Dell m1210 to my plasma tv?
For HDTV, can I go from VGA out to HDMI or component (green, blue, red)?
If I can't do that, can I go from S-video to S-video or VGA to composite (yellow, white, red)? Is it worth it? Which would you use?

S-video is the simplest and cheapest - you simply need an S-video cable (and an audio cable to go from the headphone jack to the inputs on the TV).
VGA to HDMI needs a converter box (NOT just a cable) such as
