How to enable virtualization of Dell Studio 1737 (Model Number - PP31L)
Hi,
I have Dell Studio 1737 Laptop. Its model number is PP31L. It’s a 64 Bit laptop. I have install VMware to create virtual server for development testing. I created a virtual server, but it’s not supporting 64 bit Windows 7 on it. I tried to check BIOS there I haven’t found any option for virtualization. BIOS version is A05.
Please let me know how to enable virtualization on it as I need to create a virtual server with 64 bit OS on it. Do I need to upgrade BIOS for it?
Thanks,
Alok

If you don't see the option, it means the CPU you have does not support virtualiization - what model is it (i.e., Intel T7400, etc.)?
To have that option you'll need to upgrade your CPU to one that supports VT.

That model does not support virtunalization:

If you need one that does, you'll need a new 800 MHz bus (no faster) Core 2 Duo such as the T8100

There are faster ones, if you're willing to pay more.
