International Vs Local Warranty

In our local market, the resellers ask the customers whether they want local or international warranty and they charge high price for local warranty and comparitively low price for international warranty. I wana know that does this Dell's policy? What is the differernce between International and Local Warranty? Are our local resellers authorized to offer local warranty?

When you buy from a reseller other than Dell itself, whatever warranty and support you get is as good as that company's reputation - particularly outside the US, where there are many places where Dell has no official presence.

I suspect "international" warranty means "grey market" - i.e., imported other than from Dell itself.  In that case, it's a bad buy given the relatively high likelihood you'll need the warranty at some point (all notebooks are inherently unreliable devices) and given the low probability your vendor will be there to assist you.
