M6800 max resolution?

Question

Hi, I would like to know the maximum resolution supported by AMD Firepro m6100 Firegl V. I tried to find more information via google, but nothing. I connected my Precision M6800 to a 4K monitor (ASUS PB287Q) and I can select only 3840x2160 at 30Hz. There is no option to use 3840x2160 at 60Hz. The monitor supports 60Hz and is connected using DisplayPort. I'm using the latest driver version 13.352.1014.0 and I also installed the monitors driver. I tried with both Windows 7 and later I updated to Windows 8.1 and same issue with both OS. I'm planning to install Ubuntu as main OS in future, but I guess this is a graphic card limitation and not OS issue, or? Thx

Andrefm,

The AMD FirePro 6100M does support 3840x2160 at 60Hz.

You should be able to set the stream mode of your monitor to DP 1.2, then 60Hz should work.

I too couldn't find much documentation on the AMD 6100. Therefore, I have submitted your question to Dell engineering. I'll also see about getting a new document created which would address your question as well as list further information about the card.

I'll post back here when I know more.
