Mouse and Touchpad not working properly, Inspiron 6000
Hi,
I have been on the phone with dell people for like 10 hours this week trying to fix this and to no avail.
My mouse (usb) and touchpad are both not functioning. The will move around normally but are inconsistent when it comes to clicking on things.
I have reintalled/updated drivers. I have done the diagnostics and everything passed. I have virus searched like mad, nothing found. Updated Bios from Dell. I have determined that CTRL + ALT+ DEL helps for some time. As does banging my usb mouse on the desk. Also, I one tapped the palm rest hard and it work for a clicked or two. I have also restored my laptop to 2 weeks ago.
Help??? the very last dell guy told me i need to completly wipe my system... that cant be right... right?

Yes I tried the USB mouse in another port. I have updated the drivers, as well as the bios and service pack 3.
