RED colored shadow on black background LCD screen (DELL Inspiron M5010)
I have DELL Inspiron 15 (M5010). I nave malfunction of the color on LCD screen: red ghost (double shadow) by white objects in the black back ground. The color of the start menu windows is blue (normally is white). This defect sometime disappear by itself.
I connect mu computer thought VGA connector to external lcd monitor. It is working properly, the color was correct with now colored shadow.
Please help me. Does it something with flat LCD cable is wrong or...?

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. If it works fine on an external monitor, then its an issue with a lose flex cable or the LCD itself.
Try reseating ( removing and putting it back ) the flex Display cable. I do not recommend you trying this step if you are under warranty.

I have the same exact problem on my m5010, its really annoying when you can't read your screen on a program that has a black theme. I find the problem is worse when the computer is running warmer... Any suggestions how to remedy this would be appreciated!
