What Dell Laptops are good for Graphic Design???
I tried chatting with Dell's sales people, and they had no idea what Graphic Design is... So, I am here.
See, I am a poooor college student trying to become a Graphic Designer. I was look at getting a laptop to handle Adobe CS6 software for making websites, editing raw images and video... I was looking in the Outlet area at the
Vostro 3500
- Processor: Intel Core i5-520M Processor (2.4GHz, 4 Threads,3M cache, turbo Boost up to 2.93GHz)
- Genuine Windows 7 Professional
- Vostro 3500 Laptop
- 320 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
- 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz (2 DIMMs)
- 8X DVD +/- RW Drive
- 512MB NVIDIA Geforce 310M
It's cheap, but will it handle Adobe CS6 without any problems???

It'll run, but don't expect stellar performance. You really need a higher-end workstation --- Precision M6600 - to run that well.
If your budget won't stretch that far, buy a desktop system - you will get a lot more performance per dollar spent.

Well, A desktop is great on the go... I need a laptop to take to my classes.

Buy a low-end netbook or notebook for mobile work and a desktop for the CS6 work -- it'll still cost less than what a notebook suitable for that application will cost (figure on $1,800-$2,000 for a notebook to do the job right).
