fastest CPU for Inspiron 1520 laptop?
I presently have a T5450 1.6 GHz Core2Duo Socket P CPU in a Inspiron 1520 laptop. I would like to upgrade to a faster CPU. What is the fastest CPU the 1520 will support?

The model can take T9500,2.6,6MB . Its been tested by Dell and sure to work.

OK. Does it need to be 800 MHz or will a 1066 MHz CPU work (T9400) ?

Just installed a T8300, seemed OK at first, but noticed in the BIOS it says the CPU is currently running at 1.6 GHz, even though it sees it as a 2.4 GHz CPU. How can I make it run at 2.4 GHz? Speedstep is on in the BIOS.
This was the reason I replaced the T5450, even thought it was a 1.6 GHz CPU, it ran at 1 or 1.2 GHz.
