most bizarre occurance help please

After 45 minutes with dell its fixed and $42.00 later!!!

remove keyboard and disconnect....

I would have never done it unless someone walked me through it but thanks anyway!!

A long shot, but only seen two successful solutions reported, they are:

(1) Carefully remove keyboard cover & check connection(s) includes disconnecting/reconnecting internal cable plugs or (2) Shutdown, unplug AC adaptor, remove battery pack, hold the power button to discharge residual power. On restart, num lock was on, but function key F11 worked to turn it off, and everything worked fine.

Oh well – if they first read your post & feedback, others with sticky keyboard problems may save themselves the dreaded  $1/minute Dell call. At least you’re back in business. Take care, Bell Boy

Yes if someone has this same problem have them email me to save the money. I know now how to disconnect my keyboard and reasemble it....
