'No Audio Device Installed ' after Audio driver update

Question

Hi,

With latest Audio driver update, I can see this error message "No Audio Device installed".

My system is Windows 7 Professional SP1.

Before the update, the drivers were working fine on same OS.

Request you to please look into this issue at the earliest.

I was able to resolve the problem with below link information :

Goto here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\
right click on "MMDevices" select permissions, click add then click advance and then click on "Find Now" then you'll have the list select "Everyone" click OK twice and select Everyone at Groups or usernames box and be sure to select Full Control and Read means both are ticked...

then do this again for this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\MMDevices\Audio\Render

Please run the audio troubelshooter to check for any harware issues:

1. Right click the Sound icon in the taskbar.
2. Click Troubleshoot sound problems.
3. The audio troubleshooter checks for sound problems. When the troubleshooter finishes, it displays the results.

Let me know the troubleshooter results.

Hello Rajath N,

Thanks a lot for quick response !

1) In system tray it shows "No Audio Output device is installed".

2) In Trobleshoot sound problems i get "Audio device is disabled".

3) When i try to open IDT audio from control panel, it does not open with this error message "IDT audio drive is inaccessible. Please check if the driver is installed or enabled"

4) In Control panel, if i click on Sound I can see only 1 option under "Playback"

"Speakers" IDT High Definition Audio Codec (Default Device with green tick). and when i click on properties of this icon, it says this device is working fine.

5) In services i checked Windows Audio service is running and also IDT service is running. I restarted it but no success.
