DELL's new BIOS GUI...

DELL's new BIOS GUI.... Why do simple when you can do complicated?

I could write a thousand words... none of them mine. Just from other tech I hear swearing at the stwepid interface.

The people who came up with that interface should all be fired... they should go work at Apple or something.

It's a BIOS interface. Not a work of art. The tech that work in it... none care about how pretty it is. We care about speed. We care about not wasting our time. This new interface is so costly in time... it's does not take twice as long to change a setting in it... it takes three to four times longer. If you have ten unit to set up, there's 100 minutes of BIOS editing.

This is from colleagues:
"First, the new interface might be pretty but it's really a piece of garbage. It is pretty but it takes three times longer to use."
"With DELL new bios interface, there is no such thing as taking a minute to change a setting. It will always take 5 minutes to find that setting first."
"It's a GUI interface were the mouse is unusable. Page Down does not work... scrolling does not work... the scroll bar doesn't slide either. You absolutely have to click in it. Even the cursor arrows and the tab key work erratically. I the date field, Tab or forward will cycle the day-month-year but it is stuck in there. The only way to get out is back or up arrow. What a disaster. How to make technicians waste their time."

To the person who approved that interface: "Box Your Stuff. Out the front door. Parking lot. Car. Goodbye."

21st century... efffing ridiculous.
