Dell Engineering defect found on Latitude 5404 Rugged.
This is just getting to be to much.
Same problem with just about every other Latitude, Inspiron and even some XPS.
Power-on no display.
Power-on holding down the " D " key to run display test.
Completes all the color displays that it should.
After the test it should boot but they do nothing just a black screen.
Anyone know the solution to this one.
I have removed and replaced just about everything except the BIOS chip.

Just tested another failed 5404.
Same problem.
Goes through the power-on display test and then black screen.
At this point it should boot or go into the BIOS.
It just sits there with a blank black screen.

"This is just getting to be to much." I hear you loud and clear!
With all these recent reports, it's making me wonder if it may have something to do with a recent Windows Update?

I wish it was as simple as software but these units have no HDD installed.
