Latitude E6410 issue regarding a grey screen

I only started getting this problem yesterday, but it seems that my laptop starts occasionally popping up a grey screen for about 5 seconds to nearly 3 minutes. No cursor or anything, although the computer is still running as normal under that very screen. What should I do to fix this?

Before you ask... Yes, my drivers are all updated and such.

Have you run system diagnostics yet? Restart the system and at the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics paying special attention to the LCD screen results. It also is possible that the backlight is giving you trouble. That could be the backlight itself or the inverter.

I checked my drivers, ran the diagnostics as suggested in the previous post.  I verified that I did not have a bad memory chip.  I verified that my display did not switch over to another display port.  Etc.

To solve the gray screen issue, I ended up keeping my personal files and reloading Windows 10.
