SOLVED: Wifi Driver Doesn't Install (Windows 7 32-bit)
Hi everyone! :Smile:I purchased an old Dell Latitude 6340u laptop for my mother a few weeks ago and I'm unable to install the Wi-Fi Driver. It's running Windows 7.
If I go to the support.dell.com website, put in my service tag, and download the Intel 6235/6300/6250/6205/6200 WiFi Driver listed on downloads/drivers page, it tells me: "Installation blocked: This software package cannot be installed on your system".
When I download the Intel(R) WiFi Link 6300/6250/6205 Application, it tells me that the InstallShield Wizard Aborted: This platform is not compatible with Intel(R) WiDi or the application is in use. :Indifferent:
I was able to download the Ethernet Controller successfully so it works while connected to ethernet, but not wifi. What should I do?

Dear Gosh!
So I FINALLY (after two days of troubleshooting) was able to fix the wifi issue and am now up and running!:Party::Beer:
I just needed to download the SetDirectoriesDll:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2533623/microsoft-security-advisory-insecure-library-loading-could-allow-remot
Then download the Intel Driver Support Assistant:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
Let it search for my wifi adapter, download the driver for it then VOILA! Wifi internet for the elderly!
Yay!:robotlol:
Will keep this up if anyone ever has this issue.
