Second battery does not charge (5175)
Okay, I also try in english:
On my 5175, the (second) battery in the keyboard dock (K12M) does not charge, even if I put the power adaptor directly into the keydock. Windows says either battery 2 not attached or battery 2: 0%... Battery (1MCXM) is present, if I open the dock.
Is there any chance of resetting the battery?!?

How old is the battery, maybe the battery is close to dying?

Hi, thanks for reply,
it's a second-hand, so I don't know how old exactly. A dead battery is possible, of course – but how can I check?
I just recognized: if I plug the charger directly to the dock, a red LED ist blinking continously; but I don't have any clue what this means (possibly something bad, but due to lack of documentation maybe something like "still charging")...

Hi , search the dock model and you will probably find the service manual.

Unfortunately,
according to the manual, there are only 2 states of the LED: white for loading and off for loaded – there's no blinking...
