Translation software for dubbing does not work properly on new Latitude 5590
Hello,
To you speaks someone very desperate...I have purchased my new Latitude 5590 beginning of December 2019. Overall it works fine, but there is one main issue: the software I use for translation of scripts of films and series for dubbing, doesn't work properly on this laptop. I have been using this software for years now, and even on different computers, and I never encountered any problems. Up until now. On this Latitude 5590, the image of the video's staggers, resulting in a buggy playback. The software I am using is called InqScribe:
I have checked everything, frame rates, un- and reinstalled InqScribe, Quicktime and Windows Media Player etc etc. but I cannot seem to find the problem. At first I did not even have image, only sound. After I first installed QT that problem was solved, but the staggering image remains (audio is fine). This only happens in Inqscribe, when I try to play video's outside of the program, everything works perfectly fine.
I have asked support from InqScribe and they made me try several things, but nothing helps, the problem remains. Now they say it might be a hardware issue on the new computer.
I am getting slightly desperate as this has been going on for weeks now, and I have to continue working on my old laptop do be able to do my work. This is what I do for a living, so you can image that having to leave the brand new computer on the side, and to continue on my old (not Dell) computer is rather painful.
Someone suggested asking my question here in the Dell community. Is there someone here that can help me? Is it a hardware issue? Do I need to install a particular driver or codec? Etc etc.
Thank you very much in advance for taking your time in reading this.
