Using two displays with a Latitude 5400 without a dock
I have an enterprise issued Latitude 5400, and I'm planning to hook it up to two external monitors. I plan on connecting one using the HDMI port and the other using the USB-C port (using some sort of an inexpensive USB-C to HDMI converter).
Since this is a company owned machine, I don't want to buy a dock. Will my plan set out above work? Essentially can this laptop drive two displays (one through the USB-C port) at the same time?

@jphughan hi again...
When i will connect my Latitude 5400 to a dual 2560x1440 on 60Hz... is it then possible by connecting one monitor by the USB-c output of the laptop (with a usb-c to DP cable) and the other monitor by the HDMI output (with a hdmi to hdmi cable). So both connecting separately to the laptop.
I’m sure the usb-c connection is no problem. But since the hdmi specification of the Latitude specifies the 4096x2304@24Hz as maximum, is it possible to get the 2560x1440 on 60Hz?
sorry I’m not into the tech things... so a lot of questions from me.

@Freaker95 Yes, HDMI 1.4 can support 4K 24 Hz or 2560x1440 60 Hz, so that will be fine. It's unfortunate that the chart only shows "maximum resolution" and doesn't also show "maximum resolution at the standard 60 Hz refresh rate".

Hey guys. A little help here. I was trying to connect my Dell Latitude 5400 to my monitor using a usb c to displayport cable. I don't get any output. I recently moved to Ubuntu and it worked fine when I had Windows although I wouldn't get any output when my laptop was plugged in with a charger. Any help here would be appreciated.
