WD19TB with KVM, No Video Display

Question

I am unable to get display to my monitors when connecting them to my dock through my KVM. Windows does not acknowledge them at all. Below is my hardware setup.

Laptop (first device): Latitude 7480 connected to dock through Thunderbolt port
Dock: WD19TB connected to KVM via DisplayPort cables
Desktop (second device): home-built PC with internal GPU connected to KVM via DisplayPort cables
KVM: Dual monitor Displayport switch (Amazon link)
Monitors: Two mismatched 1080p monitors connected to KVM via DisplayPort to HDMI adapter cables (Amazon link)

Both laptop and desktop are running Windows 10. The desktop has no trouble connecting to the monitors through the KVM. If I connect the monitors directly to the dock, the laptop is able to show the displays. It is only when going through the KVM that the laptop fails to show any display.

I have confirmed that the dock and the laptop are both at the latest firmware, bios, and driver versions.

My suspicion is that the issue has something to do with needing an active adapter rather than the passive ones, but if anyone with more experience could give me some guidance, I would be most appreciative!

Update:

I was able to solve the issue by swapping the passive adapter cables with active adapters (Amazon link) along with some standard HDMI cables. Once I made the change, the docking station was able to recognize the monitors right away.

So if anyone else runs into this same issue, make sure your adapters are listed as active rather than passive.
