Where are all the BIOS versions?
Almost all new BIOS versions from http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln308587/ have vanished.
| Latitude E5540 | A19 |
| Latitude 5580 | 1.8.1 |
Is this a problem on the webserver or is Dell stopping the fixes?

Hi Jesse,
unfortunately not. There you find only older BIOS-versions: the E5540's A18 Bios is from May(!), and the 5580's is the older 1.7.5.
Seems they have removed the new BIOSes, maybe there is a problem with them?

Updates have disappeared from the support.dell.com page before and reappeared later, seemingly due to random glitches, so that could be the cause here. Or there have been reports that in some cases, Intel's updated microcode causes spontaneous reboots, so the updates may have been pulled pending an updated microcode that fixes the security vulnerability without introducing that bug.

Yeah, I was looking for the BIOS Update 1.8.1 and the link only displays the following text:
<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>
The file you are attempting to download is no longer available, and may have been updated or replaced with a newer version. Please visit the Drivers and Download page and try your search again.

It would be nice, if DELL would comment why they remove the files – and actually before they do so!

We have now identified the root cause of the reboot issue impacting Broadwell and Haswell platforms, and made good progress in developing a solution to address it. Based on this, we are updating our guidance for customers and partners:
We believe it is important for OEMs and our customers to follow this guidance for all of the specified platforms listed below, as they may demonstrate higher than expected reboots and unpredictable system behavior. The progress we have made in identifying a root cause for Haswell and Broadwell will help us address issues on other platforms. Please be assured we are working quickly to address these issues.
