error message, 0xA00f4244 no camera available
With the current social distancing protocols in place many of us have to start using our integrated webcams. DELL, please fix this error message, "0xA00f4244 no camera available". When I try to use mine I receive the error message that my camera cannot be found. Please see the below attempts and come up with a patch to fix this:
1 my antivirus is off not causing the problem
2 camera does not show in device manager. repeat there it is clear how to reinstall drivers if camera is not showing in device manager. scan for hardware changes does nothing
3 USB root kit deletion does not work
4. the driver for this is nowhere to be found. I did go ahead and update my windows and BIOS drivers
5. the privacy settings changing the slide tab to allow does not work
6. The reset in the windows app store does not work or the troubleshooter
Who is the camera manufacturer? How will I ever know?
Please try to solve this problem.

This Youtube video was for how to reset the camera on an MSI laptop. This did nothing for my problem on my $3,000 1 month old Dell Optiplex.

Yes, same here, my camera check box in the BIOS was checked and the status list showed the camera to be wired and powered. Grrrr

UPDATE: My camera's feed wire was scorched from somehow being shorted, and the plastic housing of the pop-up camera was slightly melted. The camera was burned out the whole time and I had no way of knowing this until the DELL Tech replaced the webcam mechanism. Ugh!

Did anyone get a solution for this? am also having this issue.
I am not sure what i could do, under BIOS, Miscellaneous Options, there is Camera (Checked).
Windows doesnt detect there is camera on the Laptop. Tried reinstalling windows a few times to no luck. none of the drivers are working either.

Sadly not. Camera checked in Bios and still not visible in device manager or working in app.

I have the exact same problem, my laptop is out of warranty by 1 month so Dell won't help out unless I pay. I have my web cam up to date in BIOS and switched on but it still can't be found. I have followed the troubleshooter and reinstalled windows 10 following a windows 11 upgrade but no change. I am sure it is to do with a Windows update as this was working fine until recently. As I have to have regular zoom and teams calls for work this is essential and I think that Dell should fix it as it is obviously a software issue.

I ran into the same problem after the laptop motherboard replacement.
Unfortunately, I never used the camera as my external monitor has one to which I connect over the docking station.
Now, my warranty is expired and it seems to me that no updated driver installation can fix this issue?

Ok I just solved the issue for my computer. Following the Dell Support prompts did nothing.
I forced the download and install of the Driver from Lenovo. Then I ran the Windows "Get Help" kept telling it no until it offered to install the default Windows Driver which suddenly got it to work.

Same issue here, Latitude 9430, BIOS: 1.8.0, camer is enabled in BIOS, same error in Windows camera app but camera itself is wroking in web browser. Also dynamic safeshutter is not working for me (manual safeshutter is working).

Recently had this October 2023, very little help to find that works finally, updated with the Intel XE graphics driver from Intel and this driver from Dell "Intel 2D Imaging/MCU/Visual Sensing Controller Driver for Camera".
Now works :-)
in powershell Get-PnpDevice -Class Camera shows the camera to be present.
Extensive searching elsewhere. Hope in helps a Dell XPS 13 plus 9320 Windows 11 user
