XPS 9350 "starting wait for plymouth boot screen to quit"

Hi All,

I got Ubuntu 15.10 working perfectly on my XPS 9350, but when I try to boot some other distros, like Majaro for example, I get "starting wait for plymouth boot screen to quit" during the boot and the graphical display never loads.

I've booted in legacy and UFEI, tried different USB ports and copied the ISO image to the USB in several different ways, but this makes no difference. I know the USB works fine in other machines.
