DELL XPS M1330 and Ubuntu 8.04

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the wireless card, sound card, hibernation, loud fan and the top buttons to work under Ubuntu 8.04?

According to to lshw, here's what I have:

  *-network UNCLAIMED

       vendor: Broadcom Corporation
       physical id: 0
       bus info: pci@0000:0c:00.0
       version: 03
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list
       configuration: latency=0
  *-network

       logical name: eth0
       version: 02
       serial: 00:1d:09:59:80:7a
       size: 100MB/s
       capacity: 100MB/s
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm vpd msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list ethernet physical tp 10bt 10bt-fd 100bt 100bt-fd autonegotiation
       configuration: autonegotiation=on broadcast=yes driver=tg3 driverversion=3.86 duplex=full ip=172.16.16.18 latency=0 link=yes module=tg3 multicast=yes port=twisted pair speed=100MB/s

  *-multimedia
       description: Audio device
product: 82801H (ICH8 Family) HD Audio Controller
       vendor: Intel Corporation
       physical id: 1b
       bus info: pci@0000:00:1b.0
       version: 02
       width: 64 bits
       clock: 33MHz
capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list
       configuration: driver=HDA Intel latency=0 module=snd_hda_intel

Any suggestions on how to get these things to work? The NIC seems to work fine though.

Thanks!

Ok, so it appears that those M1330s with Intel wireless cards work nicely with Ubuntu. I have a broadcom card, so the drivers don't come with Ubuntu...any way to get this card to work with Ubuntu or any other flavor of linux?
