Mini 9 Hangs on Suspend - Work Around

My Mini 9 has been hannging after I suspend and I am finally getting down to the bottom of the problem.  This has been prevelant in many other user issues as well and it starting occuring after an update.

The Problem:

Suspend a session and let the computer remain for a time.  Come back and attempt to awake your computer.  You will stay at a black screen with a blinking cursor.

The Work Around:

Change user sessions with the keyboard.  Ctrl - Alt - F7 seems to be working.

The problem is still relatively new and it is because of an update that broke the way something works.  Considering it is a user session issue it might only be where the resumed suspend is looking for the data.
