Has anyone tried to install the nVidia proprietary drivers on a Linux system with a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti?

Has anyone installed the nVidia proprietary drivers on an XPS 8930 with the 1080 Ti?

And if someone actually has installed can you please confirm 5.1 and 7.2 audio output working properly?
