Windows 10 Photos sometimes showing blank screen when opening pictures

So I recently updated my Inspiron 5680 from windows 10 feature update 1909 to 2004, everything seemed to work but then when I tried to upload a picture via my browser to a site I suddenly got a Intel Optane Memory pinning error. I went to programs and features, fixed the driver I thought was causing the problem and that seemed to be it, until I started to see that sometimes when I open a picture to view it (Be it from my browser or windows explorer) photos will sometimes only give me a blank screen like here:

As you can see, it's blank with black tabs at the top which are usable. Again, this only happens sometimes, not every time. It might happen the first few photos I open, or I might have to mess around at first.

In my first bid to get help, I went to Microsoft support, which you can see here, we've tried everything. Reverting back to 1909, (Which I'm currently in) repairing/resetting the app. Deleting/reinstalling optane. I'm at my wit's end here folks, because my PC was working perfectly until I updated it. Please,, please help!

I am getting the same problem, all of a sudden. If I click to open an image from Chrome's download bar, then it displays properly in Photos. But if I click to open an image from Windows Explorer, then I just get the white screen as your image shows. I've tried "repairing", "resetting", updating... no help. Very frustrating.

I don't know why you're seeing those blank screens. However, even if there were no problem I would suggest that you get a better photo viewer.

I recommend IrfanView. It's a free photo viewer that is much faster than Windows' Photos app. It loads images quickly, handles a huge range of image formats without plugins (and there are plugins for others), is an excellent scanner interface, and even does OCR. While its UI is pretty old school, under that drab exterior is a top-notch viewer that includes many other functions.

You can change Windows' default photo viewer to IrfanView.

Install IrfanView and see if you no longer have a viewing issue.

You can try the windows store app through Windows key+I where troubleshooting and help prevent computer problem dialogue box opens,

also, you can try resetting the Microsoft photos app, another one is that might be your system facing any kind of driver issue. for updating you can get help from these
