Venue 11 Pro 7130 vPro Tablet Battery Swelling

I just found that my battery is getting bigger as well. So far it's holding its charge normally and passes all tests but back cover could not longer be attached normally. I'll try to buy a replacement one and sell my Venue as quickly as I can. The best part is that my extended warranty ended in January...

I set my BIOS to start charging at 30% and stop at 90%. It is never good to let Lithium batteries fully discharge or over charge.

Any resolution to this?  I have the exact same issue with my battery.  It's warped like crazy and now the back plate doesn't fit at all.  I took the battery out and it has a plastic form which seems to not keep the battery in it's original form anymore.  Has Dell said anything about this problem?

I replaced the battery - I don't think that Lithium Ion batteries are anything to mess around with and when Dell said it needed replacing, I did! I have also changed the way I use the tablet - I always left the tablet plugged in before - now I charge it u, unplug it and use it on battery until it reaches 10% left - I have set an alarm. Once it gets to 10% I plug it in and the cycle repeats.

Yes, I am having the same exact problem.  I chatted with Dell online and got nowhere.  I called and got the Dell Mobility Team and talked to ERIC.  I know that I am out of warranty but I am also worried that the battery might explode or cause a fire that might burn down my house.  My phone disconnected while talking with ERIC but they have my information and can call me back.  They also have a picture of the case cover popped out by around 3/4 inch in one of the chats.

I do not see any recalls for the Dell Venue Pro 11 7130 battery on the Consumer Product Safety website but did see some battery recalls for other manufacturers.

This tablet was given to me as a gift and I do not have any money to buy a replacement battery.

We've all seen stories of battery fires with e-cigs, hoverboards, Teslas, phones, etc. Why not Dell Tablet.

I use "BatteryBar Pro" to monitor power status and use. I changed the BIOS setting for Advanced Charging Custom settings Start Charging 30% stop charging 90%. I normally have it plugged into the AC except when I take it with me..

Same thing here, the battery is swollen and ready to let the magic smoke out.
