1901FP Image disappears after 5-20 seconds

Question

The LCD monitor will display an image from VGA or DVI inputs or from monitor self-test for about 5-20 seconds, then the image disappears while the power LED remains green. If I turn off and then turn on the monitor, the image will again display for 5-20 seconds before shutting off.

Tested DVI, VGA inputs

Tested with multiple video cards and monitor self-test

Optimum resolution is 1280 x 1024, 60 Hz, which I am using when connected to any video card.

That is the classic symptom of a bad inverter board. I have not seen boards available so you'll have to do component repair.

I have not seen the insides of one of these so if you have questions, post pics.

Thanks, tr4 and gpro, your comments are helpful. We'll check the inverter board, probably repair or replace it. I'll let you know any success.
