1901fp LCD video card requirement ?

I would appreciate any help to know if the system below will support a new Dell 1901fp LCD monitor. My dad has a dell 19" crt now and wants to go lcd digital. I can't seem to find info on the lcd video card requirements in the forums.

XPS R w/ 1.0 GHz processor upgrade / A12 bios

512 mb ram

Video card - Dell / STB nVideo TNT 16MB

Thanks in advance...

Yes it will. I'm not sure if that card has a DVI output (I don't believe so) but it doesn't matter because the 1901 also runs with an analog connection.

John , Thanks for the reply.

Would you know how much difference there is in the look of an analog vs. digital as in just normal viewing ?

My dad is not a gamer or graphics artist , other than Print Shop , so he is not in need of the highest quality output.

I would also like to hear from you other owners of Dell LCD displays in order to advise my dad on his purchase.

Thanks again...Bumjelly

I have run mine in both modes, and while I didn't try to see which one was better, I can honestly say either mode would work for me.

I have a 1900 19", Tom has a 1901 19", Ronss has a 17", and we are all VERY happy with our panels. I don't have any dead pixels on mine either.

I have a 1900 and it's the greatest. I would never go back to a CRT. I do have one bad pixel but have to look for it to see it. Mine is a year old now and no problems.

Take care..............ty
