1905FP Service Tag

Question

Where is the sevice tag # located on Dell 1905FP monitors? I need to claim warranty work on the monitor and the location is not obvious. Thank you George

I thought LCD uses Serial Number vs. Service Tag? I could be wrong though. But S/N is on the back of the 1905FP

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

There is no service tag number on this monitor. There is only a serial number. You would need to have the customer number or order number from when you purchased this monitor to get support. If it was purchased at the same time with a system it would carry the same warranty as the computer. If it was purchased with a system you would use the service tag number of the system so that they can see what components are listed on the order.

Because there is no service tag no# I am up a creek with out a paddle. My little girl tore up my paper work last year. and to make things worse Dell cannot find my 1905fp by my phone no#. Ho they can fine my address and all that but not my 1905fp and there sys cannot look up a serial no# so what good is it. So what can I do ??? nothing???
