2405 EYE STRAIN/HEADACHE Set At Native Resolution

I love this monitor! The only drawback is I get constant headache/ eyestrain after using the monitor for internet, everyday task etc.  I have it set at 1900X1200 60hz, video card X850XT P.E.
I was wondering if I can set the monitor at 75hz?

By the way this monitor is exellent for gaming. HL2 ROCKS! playing in widescreen. I can't wait to buy COD 2.

LCD's are always on, unlike CRT's where you need to have a higher refresh rate to avoid flicker, and eye strain.   That monitor has a 60 hz refresh rate that is native as does mine, and no flicker.  Its your eyes that may be the problem.  Setting it to a higher refresh rate may damage that monitor.  It says so on my monitor, not sure about yours.

You do have ClearType On, don't you  ?

ClearType settings : Right click an empty space on the desktop, click on Properties next, click on Appearance, than click Effects. In this box, select ClearType instead of STANDARD. Click OK than OK again in the final box. Done

I'm not sure this will help but it did for me. I set my brightness to 30. This eliminated my eye strain.

How about when playing games, can I set my refresh rate at 75hz?
