2405FPW Drivers on support site are not current

Question

I download the R91058 updater for my 2405. The stated driver date on the download page is 01/22/2006. Unfortunatly the date stamp on the driver once installed is 12/20/2004 (driver version 1.0). Can anyone point me to the 01/22/2006 driver?

The reason I am looking for an updated display driver is that my 2405 cannot display the signal from the PC once I begin playing Brothers In Arm; Earned In Blood at 1920x1200. This does not occur at lower resolutions. This seems to be a known issue out on the web. Once this occurs there is nothing I can do to bring the video back. I then have to reboot my PC.

Your video card may not be able to handle the higher resolution.  Did you think of that ?  What video card do you have  ?  Some games also may not support the higher resolutions, and have to settle for lower.

'Your video card may not be able to handle the higher resolution. Did you think of that ?' Good question. I do believe my dual BFG 7800GTX 512 OC's in SLI can handle 1920x1200. Each new version date as shown for R91058 always uzipped the same 12/21/04 driver ... I just checked the one I dl'd last year showing '11/05/2005' and yes indeed it has '12/21/04' in it ... so it seems there really has never been any updated drive since that time!   http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?subcat=&s=gen&c=us&l=en&cs=&k=r91058.exe
