3007WFP, Inspiron 3847, 1280x800?

I have a 3007WFP monitor. I am trying to run on a Inspiron 3847 with a Intel HD Graphics 4600 video card. The best resolution I can get is 1280x800. I would like to get the native 2560x1600 resolution. Is there anything I can do to make this happen?

The Inspiron 3847 only has VGA out port and HDMI out port. At the time of release, the 11 year old 3007WFP was only validated to do 2560x1600 60Hz when connected directly to a computer video card DVI-D DL out port, using a DVI-D DL to DVI-D DL cable. Any other combination of ports or cables could result in the 3007WFP reverting to 1280x800 60Hz.

Two options to get 2560x1600 60Hz =
(1) Install a PCIe x16 video card that has a DVI-D DL out port
PC video card DVI-D DL out port --> DVI-D to DVI-D cable --> 3007WFP DVI-D DL in port

(2) Although never tested/validated by Dell with the 3007WFP, some users with a video card that had DP out port used this DP to DVI-D DL adapter to get 2560x1600 60Hz. Install a PCIe x16 video card that has a DP out port
PC video card DP out port --> DP to DVI-D converter --> DVI-D to DVI-D cable --> 3007WFP DVI-D DL in port

Is there a PCle x 16 video card with a DVI-D DL out port that will fit into an Inspiron 3847 that Dell recommends and does Dell sell them?

For this entry level PC with a 300w PSU (power supply unit), we only used low end/half height video cards and none of them had a DVI-D DL port. This one might work. We cannot know for sure because we never tested it in the Inspiron 3847. Might be easier to take the Inspiron 3847 to a local shop and tell them what you need =
